Ph.D. Candidate in Philosophy at the University of Virginia

AOS: Political Philosophy, Aesthetics

AOC: Ethics, Feminist Philosophy

My main research interests lie in political philosophy and aesthetics. I examine how place and agency emerge together, and how their relation is structured through political and aesthetic experiences. My dissertation explores how taste, qua gustatory sense, can function as a site of aesthetic inquiry when grounded as an emplaced social practice. On this view, taste functions not only as a sensory experience but as a practice through which belonging is learned, negotiated, and contested.
